MRSA reference sheet |
MRSA
(Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) is an infection in
the news, but also one that has been around for quite some time. It is
currently heading rapidly toward 100,000 documented cases annually with
nearly 19,000 deaths associated. While many of these are in healthcare
settings, nearly 15 percent are in the general population, or “at-large”
cases.
Our concern about
MRSA is as deep as your own.
In facilities, we consider this hard-to-fight infection a serious threat
to health, particularly in restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms,
cafeterias, and high-use office settings where cross-contamination is
most likely. But we see it as a wider issue of planning and response to
many pandemic threats, and address our programs accordingly.
Pur-O-Zone is
offering a Total Response program to fight this infection. Please
contact us or your PUR-O-ZONE representative to arrange an on-site
evaluation for a comprehensive program of addressing this and
other pandemic threats in your facility.
